Hey astro lover, welcome back to Third House Gossip. I hope you're well. I'm excited to talk with you today. We're gonna dive in, no pun intended, into Saturn in Pisces. We're gonna learn what's the deal with this? Why is it so important? Because it is. This is one of those episodes you're going to want to re listen to again and again and again because Saturn is going to be in Pisces in totality for about three years.

Now this started a while ago. It entered Pisces on March 7th, 2023 and it's going to be here until February 2026, but in between that time, it is going to wobble between Pisces and Aries through September and February 2026. So once February 2026 comes, it's going to be fully into Aries. So we've still got quite a while of Saturn in Pisces.

I suggest listening to this episode anytime Saturn is doing something big in the sky. So any big alignments between Saturn and any other planets, which I'll probably bring to your attention on the podcast, or anytime Saturn changes directions. So if it's going to station retrograde or station direct, it's a great time to re listen to this podcast episode.

Another time if you're a super astro nerd like me and you want to re listen more frequently, every time the moon moves into Pisces and makes a conjunction to Saturn is when we're really going to get an infusion of these themes. And so it's a good time to re listen then.

All right, let's start with Saturn basics. And remember, I do have three foundational episodes of the podcast where I go through the signs and the houses and the planets. So if you want more on Saturn than what I touch on today, you're going to want to listen to episode two, the deets on the planets. But let's talk about Saturn for a second here.

So basically Saturn is a planet of hard things, literally and figuratively. It represents our sense of reality. It represents the structure in our life, the order in our life. It also represents limitations and boundaries that we experience in life, whether we create them or they are created outside of us. Saturn is also interested in building things that endure, so creating strong foundations that last for a really long time.

So wherever Saturn is transiting in the Zodiac, it's trying to do those things using the tools and resources it has at its fingertips in that particular sign. And so when Saturn is in Pisces, it's got access to what kind of things? A lot of soft things, okay? Pisces is a mutable sign. So it's changeable, it's movable, it's fluid, it's flowing, and it's a water sign. So those themes are re emphasized because why? Water is fluid and flowing and soft and takes on the shape of the container that it's in. It flows to the lowest place, all of that stuff that we know about water. So as we can already imagine, Saturn, a planet of hard things, being in Pisces, a sign of soft things, is a little bit counterintuitive. Might be a little difficult at times to really get the groove going.

So imagine dropping something solid like a coin into a pool of moving water, like a fountain. So the coin is still there, and in this analogy, the coin is Saturn, but its image, once it's underwater, is distorted. So it looks wavy, you know, everything is still there, but nothing is as solid as we thought. And that's kind of the vibe when Saturn is in Pisces. Like, I know there's a foundation here, I know there's reality here, but it's not quite what I thought it was. Pisces can feel a little bit too intangible for Saturn. It can be a little too vague for Saturn's liking. It doesn't have all of the information or the tools or the solid, you know, supplies that it prefers to build the foundation that it wants. Saturn may feel that Pisces is even a little too passive for the work that it wants to do. So there's definitely a change in pace when it comes to Saturn in Pisces.

So wherever Saturn is transiting, and when I say that I mean moving through. Wherever Saturn in the real time sky is moving through in your birth chart brings a personal area of focus and effort. So I want you to find Pisces in your birth chart and locate what house it's associated with. For example, I have Pisces occupying or on my fourth house. So, when it comes to Saturn in Pisces, Saturn is focusing and efforting, for me, around fourth house topics. And remember, episode four, Did You Hear About the Houses?, outlines all of the houses in detail.

So think about the house that's associated with Pisces in your chart, and these are the areas of life and the topics that are going to be requiring more focus, that are going to require more effort and work, that may require more responsibility. They may be areas in your life where you're going to get a bit of a reality check, or you're going to need to clarify and simplify this area of your life. So, as we go through these Saturn in Pisces themes in a minute, I want you to apply them to those life topics primarily.

But no matter where Saturn is transiting for you, there's going to be some global themes that show up for everyone. And one of them is, what is time? Okay? Saturn in Pisces is a major time warp. Time speeds up, time slows down, whatever it is, it's not consistent. So Saturn in Pisces is a much less industrious version than Saturn in Aquarius and Capricorn, which is where we've had Saturn for the last six-ish years, okay? So Saturn in Pisces is not in a hurry. It is leaving room for a lot of rest and a lot of pause. And this can be hard for us in our culture. We're very like go, go, go, make, make, make, but with Saturn in Pisces, we're often asked to go a little slower, or to minimize things a little bit. So leave space, leave room.

Another way we can work with this is creating compassionate structures where we have Saturn routine, but it is adaptable. I like to think of this as, yes, I'm going to make myself a Saturn to do list so that I feel organized, but I'm going to allow myself to fulfill it at any time of day. I don't have to structure every hour, every minute. That would not be a Saturn in Pisces strategy.

Saturn in Pisces asks us to live in the in between spaces. It asks us to live in the gray, where we might be going out on faith, we might be going with the flow, we might be treading water and waiting for a sign, or waiting for clarity. Regardless, living in the gray and living in the in between requires a lot of patience. And this is something Saturn in Pisces is going to develop for all of us.

Another thing that's going to happen during this transit is fluctuation. Foundational things will fluctuate. Your priorities are going to change. Your focus is going to change. For example, you may have thought you were really solid on a particular thing. And then you change your mind. Now you're not so sure. So things that you were really solid on, systems and rules and standards and boundaries and disciplines, these things are being asked to loosen up a little bit. We're learning to be flexible with ourselves.

You also may notice during this time that Saturn things like work and effort and focus and progress are going to come in a Pisces way, meaning in waves. So there is progress, there is forward motion, there is movement, but it's not going to be like a plodding along every day is the same consistent sort of output. It's going to be wavy and mutable, changeable, comes in waves. And letting this be okay is super important for having a positive Saturn in Pisces experience. Allow yourself to operate in waves if you can, if you have the space to do so.

Saturn is really interested in progressing, in moving forward. And when in Pisces, it can still do that, but it's going to often take an alternative route. Remember the imagery or the symbol of the coin being dropped into the fountain, and the coin's image is distorted? It can feel a little bit like that with the path ahead. You can be moving forward and taking steps, but the path forward may feel a little convoluted or meandering. You'll eventually get there, but you're probably going to get there in a way that you didn't expect with a few stops that weren't planned for.

Saturn, wherever it is, also describes what we're committed to. And when in Pisces, our commitment can not only be around the house topics that Saturn is activating, but around Pisces things. So commitment to creativity, commitment to feeling our feelings, commitment to our dreams.

And the last theme I want to bring in has to do with Pisces being the last sign of the Zodiac. So when Saturn is in the last sign of the Zodiac, it can bring endings or dissolving. And Saturn tends to bring endings or transitions anyway, but when it's in this very last tail end part of the Zodiac, it tends to bring a more complete type of ending. It may feel like a washing away of something, or a dissolving of something, or an eroding of something that wasn't super solid. And this doesn't have to be something you're afraid of, or scared of, you know. Saturn. Well, my opinion is that Saturn does have our best interest at heart, but sometimes we don't always understand how it's going about that. So sometimes it'll let things fall apart so that something stronger can come forward. And you may notice that, especially in the house topics that are correlated with the house that Saturn is traveling through for the next few years.

All right, so recap. Create compassionate structures and routines for yourself. Give yourself Saturn structure, but allow yourself to meander in between the bullet points. Allow yourself to step out in faith without having all of the information yet. It will come. And allow yourself to change your mind. You don't have to be so solid on everything as you were before. Give yourself some grace to show up differently with a different mindset. Allow yourself to say yes to something creative. And finally, allow Saturn to dissolve or gently erode and wash away anything that .Really isn't supportive. Something that isn't holding you as it should. When Saturn is operating healthfully, it's creating structures in our life that leave us feeling really grounded and supported and taken care of. And so when Saturn is in Pisces, we can watch things that aren't supportive, wash away and have the grace and the courage to allow those things to go.

My voice is super Saturn in Pisces right now. As I went through the podcast, I think I got really slow, really deep. And I love that. I love when the astrology shows up through our voice, through our body. If you enjoyed this episode, pass it along because that is what we do with a juicy bit of gossip
