Well, hey, Astro Lover. Welcome back to Third House Gossip. So glad you're listening today. I have got multiple sweaters on and a scarf being used as a shawl wrapped around my body, looking like the crone in the woods that I am. I've just got a chill.

I gotta say. But I'm hoping that this, uh, little episode here is going to heat me up. I'm doing something new y'all. We're gonna try an experiment during Venus retrograde. For the next six episodes, I'm gonna try my hand at a weekly show where I go through [00:01:00] the astral highlights of the upcoming week. I am not sure if I'm gonna like it.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep it, but I'm gonna give it a go. Okay, so that's what we're going to do today. Today is all about the astrology for the week of March 10th. And I'll be releasing these on the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday, so that you can get a head start on the week ahead.

As always though, I'm still open for questions and stories because I love hearing from you. There's a lot to talk about right now. Last week we did a deep dive on Pluto transits. So if you're experiencing a Pluto transit. Please share your stories. We've also got Venus retrograde, Mercury retrograde, and eclipses all coming up together.

We're going to talk about that today. So I am open for stories and open for questions. You can write in or You can quote, call in and leave me a voice note at astrology with Claire dot com slash [00:02:00] gossip.

I've also just solidified my March calendar, so if you would like to see me for a reading, I am ready and available, and this is a really great time for Pisces people and Aries people to get a reading, because your birthday is when your Time Lord changes. Ooh, fancy.

One other thing before we get started with the astro for the week, I've decided to heavily discount my astrology starter kit course because I really want great astrology to be accessible to a lot of people.

It's very thorough. It's about four hours of material, but I break it down into digestible chunks. We go through the qualities and elements, the signs, the planets, the houses, and then I teach you how to put all the pieces together and do a mini reading of your chart.

Yeah, so I hope to see you in there. It's the foundation for everything else I'm going to do over the [00:03:00] next few years. So if you are still new to astrology or are not new to astrology, but don't really understand how astrology works as a mechanism, I highly recommend taking the class. If you've been wanting to do a mentorship with me, this is going to be a prerequisite. So definitely hop in there.

Okay. Enough housekeeping. Let's move on to the week of March 10th. And the big picture this week is that it's eclipse week. So the biggest story is that we have a total full moon lunar eclipse in Virgo. The moon is barreling towards fullness right at the beginning of the week with the waxing gibbous phase.

And the eclipse is happening on Friday the 14th for most people. I just want to shout out a previous episode I've done, episode 9. Called Eclipse Essentials that walks you through all the basics about eclipses and gives you a lot of great general [00:04:00] strategies for dealing with them and being present with them.

So head back in time and listen to episode 9. The other big story of this week is that Mercury is stationing retrograde in Aries. Another plug for another episode I've done. Episode 7, The Truth About Mercury Retrograde, is an evergreen episode, meaning that it applies to any Mercury retrograde from now. until forever. So head to episode 7 for Mercury retrograde basics, myth busting, and also some tips for navigating the retrograde.

Okay, let's go in chronological order since I am a Virgo. And we're going to start with the first aspect of the week, which is Mercury in Aries conjunct Venus retrograde in Aries. This is happening on Tuesday, March 11th. If you're in North America and Europe and Wednesday, March 12th, if you're in Asia. So when Mercury conjuncts a [00:05:00] planet, it basically gives it a microphone. So whatever planet it connects with in the sky, it's like, Hey, penny for your thoughts. So Mercury is giving a microphone to Venus retrograde in Aries.

Another plug, episode 17 is all about Venus retrograde in Aries if you need a refresher on that. But real quickly, what we're doing during Venus retrograde is we're recapping, we're reviewing, we're resetting Venus things. Like our partnerships, and our friendships, and what we think is fun, and our art, or music, our style.

Like, I really want to get my hair cut during Venus Retrograde, but I'm not sure if I should, side note. Anyway, um, we're reviewing things like what we want, what's important to us. You know, Venus is all about what we desire. So this is a roughly six week period where all of those things are just getting a [00:06:00] refresh if you will.

Venus in Aries values acting. It wants to do things now. It's not very patient. It can be a little Pushy in a good way, but when it's retrograde it can get a little frustrated So it may want to press forward with some creative project, etc But may feel like things are moving too slowly for its liking.

This can show up as Venus topics feeling a little insecure or inconsistent or like a mismatch of what we want and what we're actually doing So Venus retrograde will show you, hey, what do I value in my life and am I actually doing things to support those values? It's a great time to reorient your priorities so that they match up.

So when Mercury conjuncts Venus retrograde in [00:07:00] Aries, it's a great day to answer the reflection questions I gave you back in episode 17. So things like, is this still important to me? Do I still want this? Is this still fun? Does this still, still feel good? Excuse me. And the, this part, the, the content of the questions is probably going to be wherever Aries is located in your chart.

So if Aries is in the 10th house, it might be about your work. If Aries is in the fourth house, it might be about your family or where you live. If it's in the first house, it might be about your health and your appearance or your self expression. So find Aries in your chart, and that's where there's going to be some conversation, if you will.

Probably internally, but maybe also externally. So this is a good day to Try verbalizing what it is that you want, either to [00:08:00] yourself or to someone else, and come up with solutions for how you can make those things happen. Now, the rolling out of those things might not happen straight away, since this is a retrograde, but it's a great time to get your ducks in a row and to just clarify.

what it is that you're hoping for. This could also just side note be a really good day for writing or creating. I will definitely be focusing on writing something during this day. You know, if Mercury conjuncts Venus, it's kind of like beautiful words if you want to be extremely literal. So have fun with that.

All right, moving right along. Next up, we have the Sun in Pisces making a conjunction to Saturn in Pisces. This is happening on Wednesday, March 12th in most time zones. So, just like Mercury acts like a microphone, the Sun acts like a spotlight or a highlighter. [00:09:00] So whatever planet the Sun talks to by aspect, it's going to magnify and highlight and put on a stage.

So on the 12th, the Sun is going to highlight Saturn in Pisces themes. Again, another episode plug. Episode 6 is all about Saturn in Pisces. But let's kind of review it a little bit here. So, all by itself, Saturn is a planet of hard things, and I mean that, like, you can touch them, but also subjectively difficult or challenging, or objectively difficult and challenging as well.

It is a planet all about what's real. So our sense of reality, what's actually happening, it's a planet of duty and obligation, it's a planet of structure and order, it represents limitations in life as well as boundaries, and it can help us build things that last for a [00:10:00] long time. So when I think about the Sun in Pisces making a conjunction to Saturn, I feel like this is a good day for long term planning, making those Pisces dreams more of a reality, putting them down on paper, getting out your calendar, reverse engineering how you need to get from A to B.

However, Saturn in Pisces isn't extremely straightforward. It doesn't do its work in a very bulleted list kind of way. It grows and creates things in a more meandering, flexible manner. So as you make a plan for the future, remember that Pisces attributes like flexibility are worthwhile strategies for creating something sustainable.

So really think about [00:11:00] how much energy you actually have. And how you can moderate that over a long period of time. So really be compassionate with your schedule. You know, create compassionate structures that leave room for rest and replenishment and also leave room for you to change your mind. Because sometimes, in a mutable sign like Pisces, we might think we want one thing and then we, we play with it for a little while and decide, oh, never mind, I want to try it a different way. And that's totally fine.

This aspect can also feel a little bit like a report card or a reality check. So just keep that in mind. You might notice, Oh, gosh, I haven't done as much as I would like to, or this didn't go exactly how I planned for it. And it can feel a little serious, maybe even a little down, but with the [00:12:00] Pisces influence, I don't think it's gonna be too bad. But if you feel a little wah wah on that day, it's totally expected. Just be with it with kindness, and it will transition and move along.

Alright, let's move on to the main squeeze of the week. So we are transitioning to the total full moon lunar eclipse in Virgo. This is happening on Friday, March 14th in most time zones. But if you are in the western United States or Canada, it's gonna be the night of the 13th.

This eclipse is initiating a new eclipse pattern for the next one and a half years, roughly. Let's break it down piece by piece. So, this eclipse is happening in an Earth sign. Which means that the focus and the disruption or the pattern interruption that this eclipse is going to offer [00:13:00] will be in earth things. So that is probably gonna be like your plans, your structures, your routines, and practical things like stuff you can touch, your possessions and your money, et cetera.

The way you personalize it is you find Virgo in your chart and you figure out what topics that house rules. I walk you through this in the starter kit, so definitely get that course if you want a really in depth look at the houses. But anyway, find Virgo. And that is the area of life where the eclipses are going to be doing some stirring up, some churning, some disrupting, I really would rather think of it as like putting your finger in a bathtub and just making a little whirlpool, okay? Doesn't have to be intense.

Next data point. This eclipse is happening near the south node. In English, [00:14:00] what this means is even though we're starting a new pattern with this full moon eclipse, it's actually more about moving forward by letting something else go. Or it's like that moment where you take a pause and you reset before you start out on something big.

So on the actual day, Of the eclipse or the hours surrounding it the day before and the day after you might actually feel like. Lower energy. So it's not gonna, in my mind, feel like a typical full moon eclipse where things are supercharged. You might feel a little bit more depleted, or low, or feel like you need some spiritual filling up. So, not really interested in making things happen, more interested in spiritual connection and connecting with yourself. Regulating your emotions.

This [00:15:00] eclipse is opposite our friends Saturn and Pisces, and we just spent some time talking about Saturn. So when things repeat during a week, that's important, you know, it just kind of re emphasizes and underlines and highlights a particular theme. So when a south node eclipse that's already about letting go and pausing is opposite Saturn, it underlines themes like simplification, or pruning, or prioritizing.

So, getting really clear on what needs to be done, what your capacity is, And from there, figuring out the reality of the next few months, okay? When the eclipse opposes Saturn, we can also come up against some new obstacles or challenges for the first time around a new topic. And you might be navigating these things for the next [00:16:00] year, no big deal, it's totally workable.

Another thing that is going on with this eclipse, it is looking to Mercury for instructions. And Mercury just happens to be about to station retrograde. So it's basically hanging out in the sky, not moving. It's super slow. So again, to me, this emphasizes the slower pace to this full moon and that it's more likely to be kind of like a power outage and a pausing rather than a forging ahead.

So I highly recommend spending the time reflecting, maybe figuring out what you want to cut out so that when you move out of the eclipse, you have Ample room to take a fresh step ahead. Hopefully that makes sense and The other aspect that this eclipse is making is a trine to Uranus. [00:17:00] And this kind of spices it up a little bit.

So, even though the general energy of this eclipse is a little slower, you're probably going to be able to see something from a fresh perspective, all simultaneously. And this fresh perspective is probably going to come from you removing excess noise and that will allow you to bring in the Uranian aha moment. So again, where is all this happening? Wherever Virgo is in your chart.

Okay, just a few hours after the eclipse on Friday, March 14th in most time zones, the Sun and Pisces will sextile Uranus. I'm not going to spend a whole bunch of time on this, but So now that you've seen what needs clearing out during the eclipse, I imagine you'll begin very quickly to envision what is new and possible. A base level, this [00:18:00] can give the day a fun, spontaneous vibe where you want to express yourself in a new way. You want to try something different. You're willing to, like, take a risk. And I encourage you to play with all of that stuff.

The last thing we're gonna talk about for this week, it's been a busy week, is Mercury stationing retrograde at the 9th degree of Aries. This is happening on Saturday, March 15th, in most time zones, unless you are in the western U. S. or Canada, it's March 14th. This is going to last through April 7th, so buckle in. And the retrograde is going to start in the sign of Aries, but it will expand back into Pisces at the end of March. But we'll talk about that when it happens.

So again, the way you personalize Mercury retrograde is by identifying the house that Aries occupies in your birth chart. Mercury retrograde is a time of slowing [00:19:00] down. A time of pausing and reviewing. Sometimes we can experience delays, we can change our mind about things, or we realize where we want to make tweaks and adjustments.

And all of this stuff is good stuff, okay? So where it's going to happen is wherever Aries is in your chart, and also Pisces. When Mercury is moving forward in Aries, it is a fast No nonsense communicator. It likes to make decisions at warp speed. It's very concise. It does not mince words, and it really gets stuff done quickly.

Now, Mercury in Aries is still Mercury in Aries when it's retrograde. But its focus is a little different, so it turns its attention to things we've already said, or already written, or already made, and gives us an [00:20:00] opportunity to figure out how we can make those things more clear or more efficient. And the last thing I want to say about this is that Mercury retrograde will be looking to Mars and Cancer for its instructions. So it may be a little bit more of an emotional decision maker than it usually would be.

All right, astro lover, that is all from me today. I hope you have a wonderful week until next time. I hope to see you in a session in the starter kit or in a little voice note for the pod. Much love.
